This week is the beautiful, elegant, Layla. Layla was rescued as a young pup from Second Chance Pets Bendigo a few years ago. She is a mixed breed working dog and when you look into her eyes you can see that intense Kelpie gaze. Layla is a real water babe, she loves snapping at the water from a hose and trying to eat her own splashes as she swims around. She is a stunning girl and she shares her home with two cats, Hamish and Cat Benatar and little pup Alice, who you will meet in the coming weeks.
This week I want you to meet Bessy. She's an absolute sweetheart who loves every body she meets and all she ever wants is your company.
Bessy is a dog-sister to Brutus who you met in week forty one. Here she is: It has not been a good couple of weeks for dogs I have photographed. I was so sad to hear of the passing of Panama, a tenacious little "Jackatese" as her mum called her, a Jack Russell Terrier crossed Maltese. Panama was a tiny pup, but her huge personality made up for what she lacked in size. I have never seen a little lap dog leap so fearlessly into water from a steep bank. Rest in Peace little Panama. You will be missed.
This week I am introducing Brutus! This staffy is a big softy who shares his home with another staffy, Bessy and his humans, Mum, dad and baby human! Brutus is a typical staffy, he just loves every one and wants to be around you, he's always got that big staffy smile on his face and one of his favourite things to do as the days get warmer is jump in and out of his paddling pool all day.
